8 High quality gifts for the gardener in your life who never buys the special things for themself.
Every gardener I know saves all their garden budget for the year to spend on plants, more and more plants! We will gladly buy a few cheaper things that may last a season or two to be able to buy a few extra plants. Whether its cheap snips or a plastic watering can we usually have a hard time buying something that's going to last a lifetime or thats makes us feel special when we reach for said item.
So, I have rounded up 8 items to spoil yourself or your garden friend this holiday season. Ones that will make them feel special every time they use it. I really believe in romanticizing the ordinary. Whether it be something as simple as watering or pruning plant. You should feel special while doing what you enjoy. And if you are here it probably means you enjoy being in the garden or know someone who enjoys gardening that deserves to be spoiled.

1. Bare Bones gloves
I have never been someone to wear gloves but I fell in love with the olive green ones. Green has really become one of my favorite colors recently and some higher quality garden gloves is very high on my list this year.
2. Canvas garden tote bag
If you are anything like me, you just wander away after finishing a project, leaving your clippers over here and your tie tape over there and gloves by the shed. I think investing in a garden tote that’s really high quality will help solve that issue. I found this canvas one from one of my favorite places to shop and I’m pretty sure it's going to help solve all my issues of lost items around the garden!
3. Brass watering wand
This was the very first luxury garden item that I ever bought. I had thought about it for almost 3 years before I was able to mentally pull the trigger on a watering wand that wasn’t $10. This is the item that made me want to feel special on every single simple garden task. Something as simple as watering with this solid brass watering wand really makes you feel like the real deal.
4. Sun hat
While I myself don’t have a nice garden hat, I do have a $12 straw garden hat that I refuse to be seen in. It's for my eyes only! I think I need to invest in myself and in a hat that I would be happy to be seen in. While this one is very feminine I would love to find one that’s just as nice looking that’s more on par with my style. The old straw hat needs to be retired very soon!
5. Broom/Rake
This is another item I do have and I didn’t know how much I could love a broom/rake. I had never thought I would spend over $30 on a broom. That’s crazy! But I saw this one and it gave me all the cozy cottage and welcoming vibes I want. When it showed up, I loved it even more. It currently resides by my front door and not only is it functional, it's really cute. I get so many compliments on my front porch broom.
6. Haws watering can
There is no doubt that I love Haws, I think everything they do is perfection. I have yet to see an item from them that doesn’t make me feel special. This stunning watering can is no exception. I very quickly fell in love with the black version of this watering can. I had seen it in green and I stopped in my tracks and then my jaw hit the floor when I saw it in black. While I do have an obsession with watering cans as it is, this one is just so special.
7. Agrarian basket
Probably the find of the century. A basket I found while I was out thrifting and had so many of you ask me to find this stunning basket. Well I FOUND it!!! I’m telling you right now this basket is even better in real life, and the photos of it are amazing. To be able to go out and harvest your bounty in the garden and have a few little pockets on the basket is a game changer. The best part is that if the linen pockets get dirty you can take it off and wash it. AMAZING!
8. Copper bird house
While I know that not everyone can afford a $300 bird house, this is the birdhouse that you will have for a lifetime. Copper roof and mango wood. This cute birdhouse is something everyone will compliment when they see it in the garden. A statement piece. One that when you walk in the garden, you will notice every single time.
So, that’s my list of 8 high quality garden items, ones to spoil your garden friend or to spoil yourself this holiday season. I plan to add a few more in my garden this year and I hope you get your hands on at least one item that makes you feel extra special every time you reach for it.
So many beautiful thing! I am one of those people who would think twice about buying something that would help me while gardening or just something totally different. But when it comes for plants that I really “need” there is no thinking about it 😊 Romancing The Ordinary, we need to savor the little things in life that we sometimes can take for granted, they can bring so much joy into your daily life 🫶🏻
